Another example of what happens when you corrupt the dynamics between the different parties in a society (thinking about that drawing Faisal and I made). When the producers can buy off the government and pass/alter/prevent laws in favor of one party and at the detriment of another, and no one else is calling them out on it (or are unable to do anything about it)… the system breaks down.

The bill would enact stronger safety standards for all trains carrying hazardous materials and make sure that trains, like the one that derailed in Ohio, would be subject to those regulations. It would also mandate two-person crews for all freight trains (which rail workers have long advocated for), limit train length, and increase the maximum fines for violating safety regulations.
