The book, the painting, the film script is not the only art. It’s important, but in a way, it’s a receipt. It’s a diploma. The book you write, the painting you create, the music you compose is important and artistic, but it’s also a mark of proof that you have done the work to learn because in the end of it all, you are the art.
✏️ It’s about the journey, not the destination, nor the product. AI stuff right now is about the product.. and like many articles that I agree with say, LLMs all miss the point of the journey, the process of creating art. It just gives you the end result, more or less. You can refine and refine and change the prompt etc, but it’s just redoing the thing from scratch each time. It doesn’t know what refining actually means. It doesn’t know editing. That’s why when you tell it to fix something in art, it just does a new one with the change made, not the old one with the change made. 🔗 View Highlight
